To enhance and strengthen the institutional capacity of the local government system in Kerala to deliver services and undertake basic administrative and governance functions more effectively and in a sustainable manner, the Government of Kerala has formulated Kerala Local Government Service Delivery Project

The Project will benefit all the 978 Grama Panchayats (GPs) and 60 Municipalities in the State. Investments made by the GPs and Municipalities will indirectly benefit the entire population of the State outside the five City Corporation areas. The estimated cost of the Project is Rs 1195.8 crore

Activities relating to sports are an essential component for human resource development. It helps to promote good health, comradeship and a spirit of friendly competition, which in turn, has positive impact on the overall development of personality. This leadership can guide India towards a greater achievement. Sports activities, in which the country has potential strength and competitive advantage, need to be judiciously promoted. High priority will be given to harness the available unknown talents and potential.
In this context a classy and elegant looking mini stadium having facility to accommodate up to 1000 spectators is implemented by Nedumangad Municipality in 59 cents of land adjoining the Pulippara – Anad road at Nedumangad. It is formulated in 2012 – 13 and completed in 2014-15 using the Performance Grant of Rs. 94,59,000.
The stadium aimed at hosting events such as volleyball, badminton, youth festivals and other events which is a boon to local schools and colleges, which earlier struggle to find space to organise sporting events. The space is now utilise for the regular training practices of youth club members in the municipality.
