Protection work to Kattikkanathadam pond is a gender friendly project for both men and women who suffer water scarcity in this area. This project is very helpful for the vulnerable populations residing in these area. This project is a model work of existing water resource protection. People of this ward using this pond water for their domestic works. After this project implementation, Panchayath arranged a facility for washing, bathing etc near to this pond without polluting the pond water. Project includes rock work (Side wall), Concreting work, foot step to pond, dress washing facility etc. This pond has the facility to discharge the excess water in rainy season. Thus, it can keep normal water level in all seasons. So, this pond is very helpful for both men & women in all seasons.
